Ellen G. White (1827-1915) has undoubtedly been the most influential Seventh-day Adventist in the history of the church. She and her husband, James, provided strong leadership as the church was founded and organized in the mid-1800's. Her personal presence and her writings did much to shape and guide Adventism during her seven decades of prophetic ministry. Since her death in 1915 her counsel and insights have continued to direct the Adventist Church. Today millions look to her writings for guidance and motivation.
Although an accident ended her formal education at the age of 9, she wrote approximately 100,000 manuscript pages on such topics as health, education, family, Bible history, and practical Christian living. During her lifetime she experienced more than 2,000 dreams and visions, which provided a rich source of divine wisdom for her extensive writings. Her book, The Desire of Ages, is considered by many to be the finest book ever written on the life of Christ.
This section is divided into two parts: 1) books about Ellen White's life and ministry and 2) books written by her or compiled since her death from her extensive writings. The books in the second section have been divided into several topical groups to make it easier for you to browse. It is our prayer that you will find in Mrs. White's writings inspiration for your own walk with God.
